Winning $49,000 Lottery Ticket Sold In Cherokee County

BALL GROUND, GA — Four lucky winners split a $197,480 jackpot prize from the July 13 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning $49,370 each. The winning tickets were sold in Auburn, Ball Ground, Locust Grove and Richmond Hill.

Winning numbers from the July 13 drawing were: 3-9-19-28-31. The tickets were sold at: Old South Convenient Store located at 196 Parks Mill Road in Auburn; Chevron Food Mart located at 155 Howell Bridge Road in Ball Ground; Marathon Gas - JP Luella located at 2755 Highway 155 in Locust Grove; and Marathon Gas - Akshar Food Mart located at 8545 Ford Avenue in Richmond Hill.

The winners claimed their prizes Monday and Tuesday, the Georgia Lottery Corp said.

Fantasy 5 tickets can be purchased at Georgia Lottery retailers statewide. Georgia residents also can purchase Fantasy 5 tickets via the Georgia Lottery app or online at www.galottery.com.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $19.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.8 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
