Woman, Daughter, Grandchildren Escape Cherokee House Fire
The fire destroyed the home on Tripp Road, which is located between East Cherokee Drive and North Arnold Mill Road near Woodstock.
CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA -- Three generations of a Cherokee County family are lucky to be alive after a fire destroyed their home Wednesday morning.
Crews with Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the fire just before 3 a.m. June 14 in the 1900 block of Tripp Road, which is located between East Cherokee Drive and North Arnold Mill Road near Woodstock.
Firefighters arrived to find the one-story home engulfed in flames, with heavy smoke flowing from the residence.

The first units on scene stated that the house was approximately 75 percent involved. The occupants of the home -- a woman, her daughter, her daughter’s two children -- were able to escape without injury.
While firefighters were able to get the fire under control, the structure received heavy smoke, fire and water damage. The American Red Cross was dispatched to help the family.

No other injuries were reported and the fire remains under investigation.
