Woman Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash In Ball Ground

BALL GROUND, GA — A woman was killed early Friday morning after a pickup truck crossed a lane and hit a SUV at Highway 372 and Preserve Parkway, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities said the truck was heading north on Highway 372, where it crossed a center line and hit the SUV that was traveling in the opposite direction.

The truck driver was not injured; however, the SUV driver and passenger had to be taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, authorities said.

The SUV's passenger died from her injuries, authorities said. She was not identified. The driver had non-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the case.
