Woman Shot In Head During Armed Robbery
Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with the violent home invasion reported Tuesday in Cherokee County.

BALL GROUND, GA -- Two people were arrested and charged in connection with a violent home invasion and armed robbery that left a woman with a gunshot wound to the head. Deputies with the sheriff's office were dispatched around 12:18 a.m. Nov. 7 to an unknown trouble call at a home on Flatbottom Road just outside Ball Ground.
Deputies arrived to find a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, said sheriff's office spokesperson Sgt. Marianne Kelley. The woman told deputies she was shot by an unidentified man who fled the scene after the altercation. A detective with the Criminal Investigations Division followed up with the victim at the hospital, and the investigator obtained more details about the allleged shooter.
The male, identified as David Wohlgemuth, 21, of Acworth, was arrested Tuesday evening and charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of aggravated battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, home invasion, burglary, armed robbery and criminal attempt to commit murder.

The investigation also determined the a second suspect, 25-year-old Dallas LeBlanc of Acworth, was also involved in the robbery and shooting. LeBlanc was arrested Thursday, Nov. 9 and charged with party to a crime of armed robbery, two counts of party to a crime of aggravated assault, party to a crime of aggravated battery, party to a crime of home invasion and tampering with evidence.
Both LeBlanc and Wohlgemuth remain held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center without bond.
