Bartow County Murder Victim Identified
BREAKING: the family of the teenager identified him after the sheriff's office released photos of his tattoo and his backpack.

BARTOW COUNTY, GA -- Days after releasing photos of a tattoo and backpack belonging to the young male whose body was discovered along a Bartow County road, sheriff's deputies are finally able to identify the victim of the apparent homicide.
Qualeef Rhodes, 17, of East Point, was found shot to death June 4 in the area of 149 Bells Ferry Road in the White area.
The Bartow County Sheriff's Office held a press conference June 9 to release photos of the teen's tattoo as well as a backpack that was found with him at the time of his death. After releasing the images, Rhodes' family contacted the agency and sheriff's office investigators worked with the family to make a formal identification.

Sheriff's office spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said detectives continue to investigate the homicide, and "numerous leads are being followed up on to solve this case."
