Bartow Drowning Investigation Remains Open: Police
A two-year-old boy from Acworth died after he was pulled from a pool at a home in Euharlee.

EUHARLEE, GA -- Euharlee police continue to investigate the drowning of a two-year-old boy early Monday afternoon.
Officers with the agency as well as Bartow County Emergency Medical Services crews responded just after noon June 13 to a call of a possible drowning at a private residence on Winchester Drive in Euharlee.
Crews arrived to find a two-year-old boy unconscious and unresponsive, said Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran.

The child was rushed to Cartersville Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, he added.
Euharlee Police Chief Mitchell Whitehead said the boy, an Acworth resident, was visiting the home when the fatal incident occurred.

Whitehead stated officers continue to investigate the drowning, but remain sensitive to the family's tragedy.
“We are not going to be hounding them on anything right now," he said, adding officers want to allow the family to grieve before peppering them with questions.
