Cartersville Police Need Help To Solve Cold Cases

The agency is asking the public to help them crack four cases that date back to the early 1990s.

The Cartersville Police Department is asking the public to come forward and provide any information to help them solve four cold cases.

Chief Thomas Culpepper said his agency’s Criminal Investigations Division is asking residents to help in any way they can to help crack the following four incidents that remain open:

  • the murder of Khandubhai M. Patel which took place around 7:18 a.m. Sept. 21, 1992, during an armed robbery of the C&C Quik Shop;
  • the murder of Oscar Pena and the aggravated assault of Miguel Gomez around 1:40 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007;
  • the death of Luise E. Martinez which occurred on Jan. 18, 1993. Martinez was found deceased at what was then the Majik Market; and
  • The death of Patricia Ann Hanlon, who was found deceased at her residence on Erwin Street on July 27, 2000. Hanlon was an employee of Lacey Mills at 7 River Drive in Cartersville.
