Company To Bring 200 Jobs, Invest $24 Million in New Cartersville Facility
Hühoco Group, a global player in refining metal products, is planning to set up shop in Bartow County.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Development announced Thursday that Hühoco Group, a global player in refining metal products, will create 200 jobs and invest $24 million in a new facility in Bartow County.
Hühoco currently operates a facility in Mableton under the name First American Resources where it employs around 100 people. First American Resources is known in the industry for decorative and functional coating systems.
“I'm extremely pleased to welcome Hühoco Group's First American Resources subsidiary to our community and the Cartersville family of industries," said Mayor Matt Santini. "This wonderful company already knows that Georgia is a great place to do business, and we are proud that they have decided to make Cartersville their home. Their investment in our community is appreciated."

Hühoco’s two primary markets include domestic residential building products and automotive. The new facility will be located on about 30 acres in the Highland 75 Corporate/Industrial Park just north of Surya, said Melinda Lemmon, executive director of the Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Development.
“Our commitment to Georgia is not only emphasized by our decision to keep jobs in the state," said Hühoco CEO Christoph Koslowski. "It is actually a decision to renew our commitment because we will add even more jobs and invest in an entirely new facility. We are excited to have found such an attractive location with a wonderful team of economic development professionals that will help us navigate the challenges or our ambitious project ahead.”

The Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Development worked in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) Director of International Investment Nico Wijnberg and Senior Project Manager Walt Farrell with Georgia Power.
“Georgia is a leader in the global marketplace, and when companies like First American Resources choose to continue to do business in our state, it further solidifies our status as such,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson. “The continued influx of German investment into our manufacturing sector proves that our efforts to maintain international relationships, and offer top-notch resources, yield positive results for Georgia. I look forward to the future success this company will see in Bartow County.”
