Duck Dash Helps Cartersville, Bartow Children Overcome Abuse

The 5k & Fun Run chip-timed race will take off at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 from the parking lot of Cartersville Primary School, which is located at 315 Etowah Drive.
On-site registration will begin at 7 a.m. the morning of the race, but participants are encouraged to pre-register in order to guarantee receipt of a technical fiber race T-shirt.

Runners -- and walkers -- may pre-register by visiting the Advocates for Children website. Fun Run early bird registration is $10 while registration on the day of the event is $15. Early bird registration for the 5K is $25, and the price rises to $35 to register on the day of the race.
Early bird registration is available until Friday, Sept. 18. All proceeds from the race benefit Advocates for Children, a nonprofit organization that operates eight programs for the prevention and treatment of child abuse. Advocates for Children serves over 3,000 families and children annually.
There is no charge for any service the organization provides with the exception of cost to cover materials for the TransParenting program.
After the race is over, participants can head over to Terminus Wake Park at LakePoint Sporting Community for a chance to win $10,000 and enjoy a full day of fun including a concert, food truck park and beer & wine sampling.
