- A Cartersville teen was sentenced to 24 months on probation after entering a guilty plea to two misdemeanor offenses in Bartow Superior Court on Oct. 3. Initially charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, the teen is also ordered to pay a $500 fine and complete 80 hours of community service. (Subscription: The Daily Tribune News)
- A temporary exhibition called Fast Brass, featuring vehicles built during the Brass Era (1890s – 1910s) is now on display at the Savoy Automobile Museum. Highlighting large motor vehicles decorated with brass trim and brass headlights, this exhibition runs through the end of January. (Coosa Valley News)
- Following a final round of public hearings on the route, right of way buys for the planned Rome Cartersville Development Corridor - or "411 connector" - are slated to progress this fall. The road could be open to traffic in 2027, although there are more hurdles to clear before construction can begin. (Northwest Georgia News)
