Fundraiser Helps Family Of Man Found Dead On I-75
The body of 24-year-old Mack Owen Griggs was found Jan. 10 in Bartow County. No cause of death has been determined by the GBI.

EMERSON, GA — A GoFundMe account has been created to help the family of the man found dead last week along Interstate 75 in Bartow County. The fundraiser for Mack Owen Griggs is hoping to raise $2,000 and as of early Thursday afternoon, $775 has been donated to the cause.
Griggs' body was discovered around 8 a.m. Jan. 10 on the northbound side near mile marker 282. Emerson police called in the Georgia Bureau of Investigation after making the discovery, and that state agency took over the case.
Bartow County Coroner Joel Guyton previously told Patch that Griggs' body had obvious signs of trauma. While an autopsy conducted last week confirmed the 24-year-old's identity, the cause and manner of his death have not been determined by the GBI's Crime Lab.
