Georgia DOT spokesperson Mohamed Arafa confirmed the agency will conduct a traffic study at the intersection of U.S. 41/S.R. 3 at Manning Mill Road in Adairsville.
Arafa said this study could begin this month or early March, and could take two to three months to complete.

The intersection was the site of a three-vehicle, fatal accident involving a Bartow County school bus, which occurred around 7:45 a.m. Feb. 15.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, a silver Nissan Altima was stopped westbound on Manning Mill Road at a stop sign while a blue Mercury minivan was traveling northbound on S.R. 3 in the left lane.
The Altima entered the intersection and tried to make a left turn on S.R. 3 when it was hit on the driver’s side by the minivan.
After that impact, the minivan rotated and hit the front of a Bartow County school bus with its passenger side.
“Between impacts, the rear passenger in the minivan was ejected and became trapped between the school bus and minivan,” the agency said.
The driver of the Altima, Chelsey Chapman, 20, of Adairsville, died on the scene.
The three occupants in the minivan -- driver Fredrick Lamar Ash, 45, of Cartersville and passengers Trevin Anthony Moore, 22, and Linda Denise Lintez, 43, both of Cartersville -- were transported to Floyd Medical Center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver and attendant of the school bus were not injured and there were no children on the bus.
