WHITE, GA -- A Bartow County man has been charged with firing a gun and threatening to kill a man who came to the area to repossess a vehicle. A deputy with the Bartow County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a call of shots fired at a home on Pine Ridge Road in White.

The deputy arrived and met with the complainant, who said he was at the address to repossess a car. When he got out of his truck, "he heard a shot over his right shoulder and a man yelling," an incident report released by the sheriff's office states.

The male said he turned around and saw a resident, later identified as Donald Raymond Liotta, on the balcony of a home next door with a long gun. He went to explain to Liotta, 52, why he was there and that "he was only doing his job," the report adds.
