Police ID Woman Killed In Cartersville Murder-Suicide
The Bartow County Sheriff's Office said the woman was killed by Stanley Burton Smith, who later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Bartow County officials have released the name of the woman who died last weekend in a murder-suicide reported at a home in Cartersville.
Teresa Ann Pacetti, 62, was shot and killed Saturday, July 7 at her home on Young Street in Cartersville. The Bartow County Sheriff's Office and Bartow County Coroner Joel Guyton both confirmed to Patch the victim's identity.
The sheriff's office said Pacetti was shot numerous times by her live-in boyfriend, Stanley Burton Smith, 61,. After shooting Pacetti, sheriff's office investigators say Smith turned the gun on himself.

Pacetti was pronounced dead at the scene while Smith was transported to an Atlanta hospital for treatment. He succumbed to his injuries Monday morning, the sheriff's office added.

Sgt. Jonathan Rogers with the sheriff's office said Pacetti had been shot following a domestic dispute between the couple, who had been living together at the home at the time of the incident.
Georgia Funeral Care and Cremation Services has charge of Pacetti's funeral arrangements, which have not been announced at this time. Return to Patch for updates.
