The following information was obtained from an incident report released by the Bartow County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were dispatched to a home on Fairview Drive in unincorporated Cartersville at 4:09 a.m. Monday, April 20. They were met by a woman, her boyfriend and another witness who said two people came to the home and knocked on the door, according to an incident report from the agency.

The female witness who was at the house at the time opened the door and let the two individuals — a man and woman — inside, the report states.
According to the victim’s boyfriend, one of the suspects allegedly jumped on him while another began to hit his girlfriend in the head with a claw hammer. The man stated the suspect told him “that if he moved, that he would hit her again while he was also raising the hammer as if he were going to strike him with it as well,” the report states.

The female witness who was initially at the house when deputies arrived later fled the scene, the deputy said in his report. A check with Bartow County dispatchers confirmed the woman allegedly has an active warrant for her arrest, the report notes.
The two suspects took their cell phones and one of the victim’s wallet containing $800. They were seen leaving the house in a white, newer model four-door truck.
The female victim suffered a large laceration to the left side of her head above her eye and she was transported to Cartersville Medical Center for treatment.
The two people of interest were described as a white male with blonde hair, mustache and weighed around 300 pounds and tall, slim woman with blonde hair.
