44th Annual Atlanta Symphony Associates' Decorators' Show House Ends Sunday 

The Atlanta Symphony Associates', the volunteer arm of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Show House & Garden at the famed Buckhead Palazzo Rosa has been open since April 26 and will have its final day this Sunday, May 18.

The fabulous display of decorating of the highest quality is spread out over 27 rooms and stair cases in the massive mansion on West Paces Ferry Rd. Guests who  tour the home can vote for their favorite room to decide what designer will get the2014 Best In Show House title. Voters will have a chance to win a pair of tickets to the 2015 Symphony Gala Saturday, March 7. 

Housed at the historic Palazzo Rosa family home also known as "The Pink Palace" because of its pink stucco façade and pink dogwood trees, this Italian Baroque design style mansion was built for Joseph and Frances Rhodes in the 1920s.

My pick for most outstanding of the  ASA Decorators' Show House 27 impeccably designed rooms by some of the top designers in the area is actually not a room but a space - Family Staircase.  Designed by Loren Audrey Taylor, Anna Abrams Design, from the massive crystal chandelier to the panels of glass and textured wall paper, walking up or down the stairs results in the same breathtaking experience.

The glass and marble bath designed by Clay Snider of Clay Snider Interiors and  Mathew Quinn- Galleria is a real visual treat.

And finally the traditional "blue room" designed by Timothy Carrigan and the Janice Palmer of Palmer Design Group's  orange and white patio- both were appealing to the eye with popping bursts of vibrant colors.

Proceeds benefit ASO initiatives such as the Talent Development Program and Black Talent Development Program created by  Azira G. Hill wife of the late Jesse Hill Jr. CEO president of Atlanta Life Insurance Co. and started in 1993 with ten students before expanding beyond Atlanta and Fulton County to 27 counties. atino student musicians were included in 2003. The Azira G. Hill Scholarship provides financial assistance for TDP students to attend intensive music study programs such as the Kennedy Center Summer Music Institute. In the past 14 years nearly 200 scholarships have been awarded.
