Airport West CID and Camp Creek Merchants Association team for outreach featuring multiple police departments and law enforcement

The Airport West Community Improvement District (AWCID) and Camp Creek Merchants Association are sponsoring a unique public safety awareness campaign to benefit the communities they serve.

Law enforcement representatives from Atlanta, Fulton County, East Point, College Park and the Fulton County District Attorney’s office are scheduled to participate in two events occurring in the month of November. Both functions will also include AWCID and Merchant Association members.

The first session will occur in the retail node of the AWCID as part of the Merchant Association’s regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, Nov. 20 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Association members meet at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites at 3833 Princeton Lake Court, Atlanta. The Board Chair for the Airport West CID, Natalie Martin of Duke Realty, is expected to attend and give an update.

A larger community outreach effort will occur on Saturday, Nov. 22 in the parking lot of the Camp Creek Marketplace, including Princeton Lakes Village and Camp Creek Pointe retail centers. This event will occur from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Boy Scouts from Troop 631 and area high school students will volunteer at the event.

AWCID Administrator Nicole Hall said the events are intended to share information regarding local code enforcement efforts, general safety tips for consumers and businesses as well as crime reporting options for area employers. Public safety is one of the CID’s top priorities.

β€œThe Airport West CID is proud to spearhead such an important effort,” Hall said. β€œOur organizations have strong working relationships with these agencies, and we want to keep business owners and operators updated on key safety issues. We hope everyone will gain an improved understanding of how to better serve their employees and patrons as well as increase the overall safety of our business corridor.”
