
Black Broadcasting Network ("BBN") has announced that Kim Tumey, who was recently honored by Cascade-based Urban Film Review, Verizon Wireless, and Atlanta Tribune - The Magazine as one of sixteen Great Women at a local red carpet film screening, has been named BBN's Vice President of Content Acquisitions.
Yusef Muhammad, President and Chief Operating Officer of Black Broadcasting Network, announced “we are excited about Kim Tumey as our Vice President of Content Acquisitions. This move is consistent with our vision of recruiting highly qualified personnel that is specifically trained to create and or pursue relevant and high quality content for broadcast on the BBN.”
Previously CEO of Kim Tumey Entertainment, also known as "KTE" (www.KimTumeyEntertainment.com), Ms. Tumey launched her business in September of 2004 in Dallas, Texas, handling publicity, celebrity bookings, casting, management, event planning and negotiates deals on the behalf of celebrities for movie roles, commercials, plays and endorsements. Her list of current and past clients have included actress Regina King, actress Wendy Raquel Robinson (The Game), Vivca A. Fox, actor Omar Benson Miller (CSI: Miami), Brian White (Men of a Certain Age), Sean Blakemore (General Hospital), neo-soul artist Dwele, Darrin Dewitt Henson (Tekken/ Stomp the Yard), actor comedian Anthony Anderson, the Kentucky Derby and the Kennedy- Shriver & Hearst families.

Earlier this year, as Managing Partner and Talent Agent at Avery Sister Entertainment (www.sisterent.com), Ms. Tumey appeared on the 2011 season finale of Bravo's “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, as Sheree Whitfield auditioned for a role before an Avery Sister Entertainment casting panel led by Ms. Tumey and actress Terri J. Vaughn.
BBN allows digital cable customers the ability to select from hundreds of movies and other programs and watch them when they want on Verizon FiOS TV, WOW! and Frontier Communications On Demand platform. In her new role, the Atlanta-based Tumey will be seeking new content in all areas of programming as well as overseeing content for all DVD distribution at BBN.
