Atlanta Technical College recognized with top honors at PBL National Leadership Conference in Chicago
Students from Atlanta Technical College earned national recognition in five categories at the PBL Awards of Excellence Program on June 27.
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL), held its PBL National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Chicago on June 24β27. Participants from across the United States attended the conference to enhance their business skills and expand their networks. During the PBL NLC, 1,600 college students also participated in business-related competitive events in more than 55 categories.
Students from Atlanta Technical College earned national recognition in five categories at the PBL Awards of Excellence Program on June 27. Eloy Lopez, who competed in the Networking Concepts category, placed fifth in the nation. Demetrica Wright earned a sixth place finish in Marketing Concepts; Franklin Cochran placed ninth in Help Desk; Renee Pearson placed ninth in Word Processing; and the team of Franklin Cochran and Marvilynda Harris finished tenth in Business Decision Making.
The FBLA-PBL competitive events program rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. For many students, the competitive events are the capstone activity of their academic careers. In addition to the competitions, students immersed themselves in educational workshops, visited an information-packed exhibit hall, and attended motivational keynotes on a broad range of business topics.
