Use your presents: Wrap your gifts in beautiful wrapping paper and place them around the house for a quick splash of color. Presents can be placed on the dining room table as a centerpiece, on the fireplace mantel, on the buffet or stacked up flanking the doorway!
Use your ornaments: Get a large apothecary jar and fill it with beautiful ornaments that complement the colors in your room.
Use your candles: Decorative candles provide a simple way to decorate. Take a collection of candles (use odd numbers) of varying heights in one or two colors. Add a little bling with old necklaces or earrings!
Use nature: It can’t be any easier than spray painting pinecones! Collect a small basket of pinecones, get a couple cans of spray paint and have at it. Metallic paints in silver, gold, bronze, blue, red or green work best; stick to two colors for the most impact.
