Stop Trying and DO

"Do or do not. There is no try."

DO SOMETHING. This concept seems so simple, but it rarely gets done. The word that comes to mind where action is concerned is "trying". How many times have you said, "I'm trying"? Trying does not exist my friends! To quote Yoda, "Do or do not. There is no try."

"Try" is a safe way to say "sometimes I make an effort and sometimes I don't". This can routinely occur for a number of reasons, but mostly a lack of time management and prioritization are the culprits. I, too, am guilty as charged there. The cure for life paralysis is ACTION! 

Action Item: Make a plan. What do you want to accomplish in your life this year?  Create a list of no more than 3 large tasks. Next, decide which will make the most impact on your life. Start today and DO SOMETHING towards accomplishing that goal. Everyday thereafter, DO SOMETHING that will get you closer to accomplishing your goal.

Example: 
2012 Life Goal: Lose 30 pounds to feel better and get off diabetes medication.

Objective This Month: Lose 5 pounds

Objective This Week: Workout at least 5 days; Take lunch to work

Objective Today: Prep lunch and pack workout clothes the night before
