8, 2014)-The Historic Collier Heights Community presents its “Preserving
our Past, Honoring our Legacy” celebration. The event observing  the Local Historic Designation will be held on
Saturday, February 22, 2014, from 3-5 P.M. at the Radcliffe Presbyterian
Church, 286 Hamilton E. Holmes Drive, N.W., Atlanta, Georgia  30318.

Collier Heights has the distinction of being one of the few
communities in the nation built exclusively by and for the African- American
middle class. Collier Heights is home to some of our greatest national notables
and leaders  such as:  Rev. Martin
Luther King Sr., Judge Glenda Hatchett, Rev. Ralph D. Abernathy Sr.,  Dr. Hamilton E. Holmes,  Atty. Donald Lee Hollowell,  Dr. Christine King Farris, Dr. Asa G. Yancey
Sr., Herman J. Russell and a host of others.

The Historic Collier Heights Community requests the honor of
your presence at this grand celebration. The event will be hosted by Fox 5
reporter Aungelique ProctorAungelique
Proctor, and will feature a
museum in which you will be able to take a “historic walk” through this history-
making community.
