“Ending homelessness in our city is among the top priorities for our Administration,” said Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. “Through partnerships and leveraging public and private resources, we have been able to establish a systemic approach to scaling and implementing rehousing solutions for those experiencing homelessness. This funding will also provide access to housing for residents who continue to be financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Since April 2020, the City has worked closely with Partners for HOME to successfully coordinate LIFT, a comprehensive response and recovery effort to protect and house people experiencing homelessness. The Atlanta Continuum of Care, led by PFH, created the infrastructure over the last year through LIFT to assess, navigate and house over 800 households quickly through hotel operations and permanent housing.

This additional funding will provide non-congregate shelter hotel operations, retain 100 low barrier shelter bed operations for Evolution Center, maintain dedicated street outreach teams and provide rapid rehousing for 100 homeless households.
