Cityhood

Let's discuss what no one appears to want to discuss publicly.  What is the status of Cityhood? 

Our cityhood bill died because we were denied the right to vote for it.  There was no media coverage before the bill was passed, minimal media coverage while it was working through the political system and nothing since then.  Why?

There are so many rumors and theories about what cities are planning to annex what portions of us to break us up so rush to ask for it before the state makes a decision to annex us.  Add to it that supposedly Fulton County is broke which as citizens we don't know if its true or false.  What's the outcome?  People are becoming afraid and panicing.  Maybe that's the intent so they will rush to be annexed.

Going back many years ago, a regional form of government was being proposed for Fulton County and the City of Atlanta.  Is that what this has been about for so many years?  One thing's for sure, citizens of Unincorporated South Fulton don't know what the plan is.  There is one.  Will someone tell us especially since if affects our quality of life? 

We need leaders to step forward and lead us to controlling our destiny. I'm talking about political leaders who would become Mayor and City Council.  We're almost out of time!

Observing where we are at this moment is depressing.  There is no reason why the citizens of Unincorporated South Fulton cannot become a city other than politics or perhaps a regional plan for the Cities and Fulton County!
