Comcast Cares Day in Atlanta

Comcast seeks community support for April 25 service day

Atlanta’s Vine City is getting a facelift from Comcast employees, elected officials, community partners and local volunteers as part of Comcast Cares Day 2015.

Atlanta-area residents are invited to participate in Comcast’s marquee project on Saturday, April 25 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., as they beautify the Vine City community and the Higher Ground Empowerment Center. The Vine City project will encompass various neighborhood beautification projects including gardening, landscaping, general clean-up and building a handicap-accessible ramp and more.

This year, the company expects more than 4,500 Comcast Cares Day volunteers will work at 44 projects across Georgia and more than 95,000 Comcast and NBCUniversal volunteers to participate in more than 700 projects across the country and around the globe. To date, volunteers have contributed more than 3.7 million service hours to improve nearly 6,000 projects in the U.S. and around the world since Comcast Cares Day started in 2001.
