Dr. Gerald Durley joins granddaughter Tori Kelsey Dozier in celebrating recent honors to SACA Lady Warriors Basketball team as state champions in Georgia. For decades, Pastor Emeritus of Providence Baptist Church, Dr. Durley has championed scores of community and national efforts, among them numerous projects which enhance the lives of young people.
Presently involved in a series of strategic face-to-face encounters with college students across the nation, he remains diligently involved with the young people of southwest Atlanta and Fulton County.
A former leading college basketball player for Tennessee State University as well as an extended athletic career in Switzerland, Dr. Durley takes great pride in not one, but two, outstanding basketball stars among his four grandchildren. His grandson, Tai Dozier, is a lead scorer for the United States Naval Academy Preparatory School in Annapolis, Maryland.
