Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Host Human Trafficking Forum during National Child Abuse Prevention Month on Saturday, April 26 on Camp Creek Parkway
April is National Child Abuse Prevention month and the recent study by the Washington D.C. Urban Institute for the U.S. Justice Department highlights the abuse of children in illegal sex trafficking in America. Atlanta topped the list of sex trafficking cities. Each night in the ATL, approximately 100 children will be exploited. The average age of trafficking victims is 12 years old; this brutal and inhumane business of trading children for money cannot be ignored in Atlanta.
On Saturday, April 26 at 9:30 am at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Atlanta Airport West (Camp Creek Parkway near the Walgreenβs) the Atlanta Suburban Alumnae Chapter and East Point/College Park Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host a Human Trafficking Forum.
The panel will include:

Dorsey L. Jones- Author of the book, "The Angels Were Crying: Stretched Beyond Measure"

The internet has created a "cyber street corner" that allows people to easily approach kids on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other websites anonymously. Parents and teenagers can learn first hand from experts to prevent a vulnerable young person from falling victim. Education can be a powerful tool-letβs use it to eliminate Atlantaβs #1 ranking.
Mark your calendar for next Saturday.
