The seminar objective is designed to highlight the importance of exercising our right to vote and to educate previously incarcerated persons about the critical need to have their voices heard.

Our most fundamental democratic right to vote is currently under attack. Voting rights are under attack nationwide as state legislatures pass voter suppression laws under the pretext of preventing voter fraud and safeguarding election integrity. Such measures lead to significant burdens for eligible voters trying to exercise their most fundamental constitutional right. There are too many delays in the automatic restoration process for people previously incarcerated. Our seminar is designed to address voter suppression by educating participants about their voting rights, explaining the steps required to restore rights and assist in the restoration of voting rights.
