In honor of Mother’s Day 2012, the Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American History and Culture will host Mother Of The Community: Exploring the Life and Legacy of Dinah Watts Pace that pays tribute to one of Georgia’s most extraordinary women. Pace founded an orphanage and school that served over 700 children. This event will be presented by Historian, Nasir Muhammad, of Black Mecca of the South Tours Inc.
