Southern K Ranch will again host a day of bulls, barrels and bikes on May 12 at its 12th Annual South Fulton Community Rodeo and Festival. The event always coincides with Mother’s Day.
This year’s event also includes the Down N Dirty Know Your Numbers Rodeo Tour. Down N Dirty is committed to increasing awareness of prostate health and cancer awareness. Before the rodeo, visitors can stop by the health fair to learn the ease of testing for prostate cancer and healthy lifestyle changes that can help reduce the risk of prostate cancer. They can also talk with health-care providers leading the way in research and care. A portion of the proceeds from the rodeo tour will go toward raising awareness about the treatable disease.
The rodeo is just south of downtown Atlanta at 3203 Demooney Road, College Park, GA 30349. Here are the day’s events at a glance:

- 11 a.m.: Motorcycle/custom motorcycle show
- noon: Open 3-D barrel racing, festival for kids (including pony rides), health fair
- 7:30 p.m.: The main event
The main event includes champion bulls and bull riders, adult and youth barrel racing, and cowboys and cowgirls from across the country.
