If you attended or graduated from the former Southwest High School, you do not want to miss the annual Southwest High School All Class picnic at Camp Truitt, 4300 Herschel Rd., on May 28th.
Those who call Southwest High their alma mater are invited to bring a dish and join the fun on Memorial Day weekend and reconnect with old friends. The event will include a live DJs "spinning the old and the new" and karaoke.
Southwest High was a Cascade Heights landmark at Lynhurst Drive and Sewell Road for three decades. The school opened in 1950 and closed in 1981, according to Atlanta Public Schools records.
