Net proceeds from the fundraiser will allow the Bulldog Band Boosters to help the 140-member Tri-Cities Marching Bulldog Band travel to the Florida Classic in November where the band will be among a select few high school bands invited to perform during the weekend match-up between Bethune Cookman University (BCU) and Florida Agriculture & Mechanical University (FAMU.) Additionally, funds will also be used to upgrade the band’s sound system and purchase new instruments.
“We are excited to partner with Nissan of Union City and are grateful to Nissan’s owner Scott Smith and general manager Sam Ajayi for their enthusiastic support of our band program,” says Tarik Rowland, TCHS Director of Bands. “TCSH Alumni, parents, staff & community are poised to win some fantastic prizes,” Rowland adds. “The odds are great that you will be a winner because only 4,000 tickets will be sold,” explains Margarett Miller, TCHS Band Booster president.
