Tunde Odunlade at Hammonds House

Coming out of Oshogbo, Nigeria in the late 1960's,Β Tunde Odunlade, is one of the leading figuresΒ in the resurgence of traditional African art. Β More than just a painter, he works withΒ hand-made paper, print-making, textiles, and the intricate art of batik. Β He has exhibited internationally andΒ was the first African artist to exhibit at the Arts Festival of Atlanta in 1987.

In addition to his art, Odunlade plays the flute, theΒ agidigbo and the congos and manages his own music and dance troupe.
