A Saturday evening red-carpet FLAIR Charitable Event will take place at Mason Fine Art from 6 pm – 12 midnight, where the organization will honor members of FLAIR, provide live entertainment and a fashion show featuring local designers. Honorees include iconic restaurateur, author and pioneering transcultural lifestyle expert B. Smith, Atlanta’s own Sonjia Amar Waller Young and commentator Virginia Tibbs. A tribute will be made to AfricanAmerican designers, Patrick Kelly, made posthumously; and Atlanta based fashion designer, Reco Chapple.

The organization’s mission is to empower, promote and provide educational and professional development programs for those demonstrating achievement in the fashion industry. “This weekend will afford us an opportunity to give back to the community as we mentor fashion and design students, award scholarships and support emerging multi-cultural fashion designers,” said FLAIR Founder, Chair & President, Faye Clerk Moseley. It was her vision that created the catalyst for launching the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and biennial event.
