Former Governor Roy Barnes to Receive Founder's Award at Hillside

Atlanta, GA - September 23, 2015 - Former Governor, Roy E. Barnes will receive the Dr. Barbara Lewis King Founder’s Award this Saturday at Hillside International Truth Center at 2450 Cascade Rd. SW, Atlanta, GA 30311. The Founder’s Award is given to a person who exemplifies characteristics of Hillside’s Founder, Dr. Barbara L. King – unconditional love, helping others to live their dreams and commitment to expanding the consciousness of humankind.

This is the second time that Bishop Dr. Barbara L. King, Founder Minister of Hillside, will bestow the honor. Last year, the inaugural presentation was made to Oprah Winfrey at a standing-room-only, Sunday morning service.

Gov. Barnes will receive the award during the “Bishop Dr. Barbara L. King & Hillside International Truth Center Anniversary Awards” program on this Saturday evening at, what organizers are calling, an “Oscar-like” awards program that should not be missed.

The Hillside International Truth Center Anniversary Awards honor Bishop Dr. Barbara L. King, Founder Minister/World Spiritual Leader and community luminaries:

Elizabeth Omilami, award-Winning actress and CEO of “Hosea Feed the Hungry”;

Jim Maddox, retired Atlanta City Councilman, District 11;

George G. Andrews, Founder of Capitol City Bank and Trust Company;

Dr. Lawrence E. Carter, Dean of MLK Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College; and others!

Well-known radio personalities, Mo Ivory and Larry Tinsley will host and musical entertainment will be provided by Grammy nominee, Anthony David.
