The Adamsville Workforce Development Career Center will host an onsite Recruitment in partnership with Manpower onWednesday, October 22, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Manpower is seeking Member Care Agents (Call Center/Banking), Maintenance Mechanics and Forklift Operators. The recruitment is a partnership between Fulton County and Manpower to find qualified employment candidates for available positions. The Adamsville Career Center is located within the Adamsville Regional Health Center located at 3700 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Atlanta, GA.

Member Care Agents (Call Center/Banking): Location: South Atlanta

Employment Requirements

Candidates will be responsible for providing customers with product and service information via inbound calls. The Member Care Agent will address and/or handle customer inquiries/questions, including balance, checking accounts, check cards, credit cards and deposit products.

The successful candidate will be able to assist a high volume of members per day through the phone channel.

In addition to providing specifically requested assistance, the agent uses listening skills, available resources and document all call information according to standard operating procedures. Successful candidates will be responsible for consistently practicing safety-conscious behavior in all process and procedures and be willing to work a full-time schedule with shifts that run 7am – 7pm. Position may also require evenings, Saturdays and some holidays.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Previous experience working either in a call center or in banking industry but not both
  • Candidates must be able to pass a credit check

Details of Credit Check

Client will screen for liens, charge-offs, collections and past due accounts. A bankruptcy doesn’t automatically reject a person, but a candidate must have good credit for any accounts that may have been exempt or for new accounts following the bankruptcy.

Maintenance Mechanics

Maintenance Mechanics maintain a clean and orderly shop, equipment and work area. Perform all work in accordance with safety standards, rules, regulations and practices and assist other mechanics when performing heavy jobs. Candidates must be able to work overtime and weekends and be willing to move to any shift once trained.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Two years of related experience and training as well as a high mechanical aptitude and ability
  • Must be able to handle troubleshooting and resolution of breakdown situations
  • Able to work under minimum supervision; possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Install, maintain, support and troubleshoot and/or repair all production related equipment
  • Set up operate or tend machines to extrude or draw thermoplastic or metal materials into tubes, rods, hoses, wire, bars or structural shapes

Forklift Operator: Location: Lithia Springs

Manpower has an immediate need for experienced 3rd shift Forklift Operators to work in

the Lithia Springs area. Ideal candidates are responsible for using lift equipment to pick up

customer orders in a distribution center.

Mandatory Requirements

Successful candidates must be able to operate standup, sit-down and cherry picker forklift. This position is a long-term contract 3rd shift, 11pm-7am, Sunday-Thursday.

  • At least three years of recent forklift experience, previously certified
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • pass a 10 year criminal background investigation and a urinalysis
