'Funnel Cake Flowers & The Urban Chameleons' at Spelman College

The Spelman College Department of Drama and Dance presents the multi-media stage production, "Funnel Cake Flowers & The Urban Chameleons," Thursday, Feb. 20 through Sunday, Feb. 23.Β  The comedy explores the code switching and double consciousness that many African Americans live with everyday.

The production features guest artist, HaJ, a writer/performer whose work has been featured in festivals and online where more than 20 million people have watched herΒ  "Tickles.TV" productions. Critics have noted her work is reminiscent ofΒ  Dave Chappelle and "Saturday Night Live."

The production will take place in the Fine Arts Building in the Baldwin-Burroughs Theater. Showtimes are 8 p.m., Thursday-Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

"Funnel Cake Flowers & The Urban Chameleons," is directed by film director and the College’s first Cosby Endowed Professor, Ayoka Chenzira, Ph.D., founding director of the Spelman College Digital Moving Image Salon.
