The weekend is almost here, and you maybe wondering what to do.

Cascade Patch feels your pain and wants to fill up your weekend with wonderful activites. There is something going on for everyone, so look down at the list below and see what tweaks your interest.

1.  Sensational Sounds of Jazz and R&B:

Where/When: Landon’s Restaurant & Bar, 3752 Cascade Rd., Suite 100, Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The Event: Every Friday and Saturday, they jazz it up in an enclosed patio. You can enjoy a night of Jazz in an elegant, yet relaxing atmosphere, though they receive walk-ins, it is better to call and reserve at 404-472-2424

Pricing: $5

 2. Just Keep it Clean Talent Competition:

Where/When: Greenbriar Mall, 2841 Greenbriar Pkwy., Saturday, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Registration begins at 2:30pm

The Event: If you can sing, dance, etc…, just keep it clean and be 16 years old and older. You can show your talent at the 4^th annual kick-off competition on the Burlington Stage at Greenbriar Mall. The competition will feature guest judges, Beyonce Alowishus from Hot 107.9 and Marsha M&M Whitehead. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Pricing: Registration fee for competitors is $15.

3. Opening weekend at the Movies:

Where/When: Movies ATL; 3760 Princeton Lakes Pkwy., Atlanta. Movie start time is as early as 11:55 p.m. and as late as 10:30 p.m.

The Event: You have seen the commercials and the date is finally here, Battle: Los Angeles (PG-13) has officially made it too the big screen. If you are looking for action and adventure, this is the film for you. Call 678-513-4400 for all movie times.

Pricing: $7 Matinee ticket and $10 regular adult ticket.

4. Hoops Mania: Conference Championship weekend:

Where/When: Tavern @ J.R. Crickets, 3560 Camp Creek Pkwy.; J.R Crickets: Sandtown Crossing, 5819 Campbellton Rd.; , 2348 Cascade Road, Atlanta. Games start at Noon Friday and Saturday and played throughout the day and evening and finishes Sunday.

The Event: Let the madness begin. All major conference championships from the ACC to the WAC in the NCAA (Men’s and Women’s) will be decided this weekend. Culminating with Selection Sunday after all the conference tournaments, this is the prelude to the NCAA Basketball Tournaments, better known as March Madness. While watching your favorite team or conference go up and down the court at a chance to dance, fill your mouth with all types of wings, wash it down with your favorite beverage and enjoy the madness atmosphere.

 5. Stem and Stilettos: An Evening of Enlightenment and Empowerment:

Where/When: WineStyles Cascade, 3752 Cascade Rd., Suite #140. Friday, 7 p.m.

The Event: Not only will you wet your pallet with some of the world’s finest wines but you will be giving to a worthy cause. Red Pump Project Atlanta is hosting this fundraiser to not only raise funds but to raise awareness of the HIV/AIDS crisis impacting our communities. Attendees can mix and mingle with community socialites, learn from health professionals while being entertained.
