1. Hammonds House Museum Presents: Daniel Minter
Where/When: Hammonds House Museum, 503 Peeples Street, Sunday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Event: Daniel Minter is the 2010 Art Auction Merit Award Winner for which the museum will showcase his work starting with an Opening Reception. After celebrating Easter Sunday at one of the many churches in the Atlanta metro, please come by and see why this artist work was chosen for the Merit award and then hear him speak about his awe inspiring work.

The Event: Bazaar Noir proudly presents The Indie Series: Fashion Designer Showcase which highlights the rising fashion industry. This event creates a platform that will give a voice to up and coming designers to showcase their work and collections to the world. This series came together to get buyers and fashion lovers to be able to basically see whatβs coming next in the fashion world. Please come, support and experience what the independent artist and this showcase installment of the Indie Series has to offer. Included are door prizes, free parking, giveaways and a whole lot more. Β 3. Weekend Movie Release
When/ Where: Movies ATL, 3760 Princeton Parkway, Friday β Sunday.
The Event: Southwest Atlantaβs own Tyler Perry Studios along with Lionsgate releases Tyler Perryβs Madeaβs Big Happy Family. The Gun totting and on-time advice giving Madea is back. Tyler putts back on the persona that made his plays sellout and Madea and Uncle Joe, household names and this time itβs the whole family. So just sit right back, eat some popcorn or some candy and wash it down with an icee, soda pop or water along with stomach rolling laughter. Β 4. Earth Day @ the Aquarium
Β Where/When: Georgia Aquarium, 225 Baker St. Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Β The Event: 3ed Annual Earth Day Celebration. This Aquarium is joining with the rest of the world in recognizing and bringing awareness to our planet. They are doing this through the Aquatic World that is the worldβs largest Aquarium. Activities included are: Plantable Pledge Cards, special giveaways, interaction with mascots, arts and crafts and animal cards. Β The Event: The Antidote: Stress Relief Stimulating Thought and Generating Positive Energy to Better the Community is an invitational art exhibition and dance festival featuring 13 visual artists and 13 DJs paired together. They help shift negative energy into positive energy through arts and stimulating thoughts. This exhibit runs through May 27.
