SPECIFICS: African inspired songs, dances, and prose all in celebration of the men in our lives, whether they are our fathers, brothers, sons, husbands, uncles, or friends. A sign language interpreter will be present for those who are hearing impaired.
COST: $20 in advance for seniors, students with ID,and children 10 and under; $25 in advance for everyone else; $28 at door

A Heavy Grace, a Shallow Home:

SPECIFICS: Hammonds House's website describes this exhibit by Hammonds House Museum's Art Auction Merit Award winner Daniel Minter as an art of reclamation, and his images showcase the beauty of the darkest skins, the plushest lips and the fullness of sight. His artwork reveals his attention to detail that is almost hyper-real. The works in the exhibit showcase a realism edged forward to its most essential characteristic - spirit.

Super Hero Day:

SPECIFICS: Fernbank's website describes Superhero Day as a day of super fun celebrating dads and other superheros during this special family day. Come dressed as your favorite superhero and enjoy games, hands-on activities and more.
