50th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
WEEK-LONG ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED SEPTEMBER 20 – 26, 2015
Atlanta, Georgia – Greenbriar Mall, Atlanta’s oldest enclosed shopping center, will kick off its week-long 50th anniversary celebration with a Gala co-sponsored by Kaiser Permanente Senior Advantage Program. The public is invited to attend on Sunday, September 20, 2015, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Macy’s Court for an evening filled with special guests, music and a stroll down memory lane.
Commemorating the 50th Anniversary Gala, Greenbriar Mall will honor the following individuals:
Legacy Award – Ambassador Andrew Jackson Young, Jr.
Recognition for his service as an American politician, diplomat and activist
Community Service Award – Mr. Greg Street, Atlanta’s V-103 Radio Personality
Recognition for his “We Need 2 Read” program addressing illiteracy in Atlanta’s high schools
Trailblazer Award – Mr. Jermaine Dupri, Producer & Mr. Christopher Smith, Musical Artist
Recognition for their advances in the Hip-Hop Music culture and industry
“Greenbriar Mall has always been a proud community steward and in-turn we honor those who have supported our efforts in years past. We celebrate Greenbriar.
