Historic West End's Wren's Nest Storyteller Offers a Treat

Atlanta's oldest house museum offers free storytelling on Saturdays. Cascade Patch made a visit this weekend to celebrate "The Phoenix Files" March celebration of Atlanta landmarks.

As part of the Atlanta Preservation Society's month-long celebration of Atlanta landmarksβ€”known as Phoenix Fliesβ€”The Wren's Nest offered free tours and storytelling Saturday afternoon.

In the photo gallery here, storyteller and puppeteer Akbar Imhotep captures the audience with tales of Brer Bear, Brer Fox, and Brer Rabbit.Β

The Wren's Nest, 1050 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd.,Β was home to Brer Rabbit author Joel Chandler Harris and is Atlanta's oldest house museum.
