League of Women Voters Atlanta Fulton Doris VonGlahn Legislative Review April 25
Doris VonGlahn 2015 Legislative Session Recap Annual opportunity to learn what passed in the legislative session from a nonpartisan view.
LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS BACKGROUND
The nonpartisan League of Women Voters operates at the national, state and local level to encourage informed citizen participation through advocacy and education in public policy. We do have consensus positions, decided by full national membership. At the local level, we are an all-volunteer organization with men and women members.
The organization grew from the womenβs suffrage movement when it was recognized that voters needed education on issues to vote their convictions. The Atlanta chapter was formed in 1920 before the national organization. As we celebrate our 95th year and the 1964 Voting Rights Act, we are reminded that voting is a right and a responsibility.

VOTER REGISTRATION & EDUCATION
Our concern is not how you vote, but that each citizen is informed to make a decision and is able to fully exercise the right to vote. Throughout the year we provide programs to educate voters and hold events to register voters.
