Young scholars (grades 4 and 5) from L. P. Miles Intermediate in Atlanta Public Schools where Christopher Estes is the principal, debated at their first tournament on Friday, April 4, 2014. These debators are the first in the district to compete. Terri King from the APS Gifted and Talented Program joined forces with James Roland, Executive Director of the Atlanta Urban Debate League to establish this new outreach to APS elementary schools.
