Southwest Atlanta has Ball at Mayor's Ball

They danced "The Wobble," "The Electric  Slide" and, even, the "Cupid Shuffle."

They may be a bit sore later on in the week, but the night was "Forever Young" for the several hundred Atlanta senior citizens who attended Mayor Kasim Reed's 2nd Annual Mayor's Seniors' Ball. The crowd included many of the regulars at the and .

Popular and comedian/disc jockey Ryan Cameron were the evening's emcees.

The mayor's mother, Sylvia Reed served as hostess. She thanked all who attended and also thanked her other sons for being supportive while she assisted Mayor Reed with this affair. 

The huge affair was held at the Marriott Marquis on Peachtree Center Avenue. The mayor was effusive in thanking the senior citizens of Atlanta for laying  the groundwork for many of the city's past successes.

The affair was paid for by several Atlanta corporate sponsors.
