Mommy Bloggers You Should Follow

These mommies are savvy, serious, silly and some of the best bloggers on the web.

There are some witty women writing on the web.

Mothers are using blogs and websites to serve up great tips on motherhood, finances, advocacy, beauty and more. Β The newest trend on the mommy scene, is the "honest" or "imperfect" mother. Β

Finally, Β *hand slapping my forehead* women everywhere have decided that not being perfect is so much more fun than killing themselves in search of the perfectly clean home, perfectly behaved child and perfectly harmonious marriage. Β Screaming "I'm no superwoman" in 2011 has replaced the "I wear that S on my chest" mantra that so many women chanted just a few years ago.

Below are several bloggers I love to read. Β These women discuss everything from parenting, to beauty...relationships to finances. Β Motherhood Β has a new, exciting look and moms are wearing it well.

  • Good Enough Mother - Rene Syler is a former CBS "Early Show" anchor, but don't let her poise and fame fool you. • Ravings of a Mad HousewifeΒ -Β Jaci Daugherty has that thing. Β That special gift of wit mixed with earnest emotion that forces you to read her posts to the very last word. • Money Saving Mom - Mother to three wee ones, Crystal Paine knows how to make a dollar scream. Β Her blog has to be one of the best money saving sites online, and her posts are written with integrity and honesty. • Scary Mommy - Jill Smokler makes me laugh. Hard. Her posts range from rants to full on commencement speeches for expectant parents who are about to graduate and become real deal moms and dads. Β Her post on "Ignoring Your Children" may just be my favorite. Β Featured on CNN and in the New York Times, she doesn't hold back and that is what makes her so much fun to follow. **
  • Luxe Tips - Latoicha Givens' beauty blog proves that being a mommy doesn't mean being frumpy and that feeling beautiful doesn't have to break the bank. Β Her posts find the hot trends at great prices. A local Atlanta based mommy blogger who is also a practicing attorney, she can be followed on Twitter atΒ @Luxetips.
  • Three Kids and Us - Catherine's blog is the traditional mommy blog that so many of us fell in love with when they started to pop up like crazy over the past decade.
