Mother to child with cerebral palsy earns ADA-compliant home in South Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA. - Just in time for Christmas,Β Jasmine Crosby, a single mother of two, received the keys to the new home she helped build in South Atlanta on Saturday, December 7th, 2013.

Crosby was joined at the ceremonyΒ by her daughters: 11-year-old Gabriel – who has been living with cerebral palsy since she was 3 weeks old – and Shadae, 18. The ADA-compliant home was built specifically for Gabriel’s needs, thanks to Habitat for Humanity in partnership with Bank of America.

Jasmine works full time at Community Loans of America and last month decided to go back to college to study Organizational Leadership. She also participates in the β€œparent-to-parent” program, which supports other parents with special needs children. And, she has dedicated a lot of time to building her new home, working side-by-side with Bank of America and Wounded Warriors volunteers.
