Republican candidate David Pennington was the only gubernatorial candidate to attend the Concerned Black Clergy of Metropolitan Atlantaβs forum today.
Pennington outlined his proposal to improve Georgiaβs economy to about 50 area clergy members and voters at the Community Church of God on Cascade Road in Atlanta.
βIt was honor to talk with some of Atlantaβs leading ministers who are working to improve their communities,β Pennington said. βThe only way to really improve these neighborhoods is to restore Georgiaβs economy, and that starts with creating an environment that businesses can thrive in.β

To revive Georgiaβs economy, Pennington has called for an immediate cut of the personal income tax from 6 to 4 percent, with the plan to completely abolish the income tax in a few years.
The forum was also attended by candidates for sheriff in Fulton and DeKalb Counties and Fulton County Commission. The forum was moderated by Derrick Boazman of WAOK 1380 radio.
