Popular Tavern @ JR Crickets at Camp Creek Temporarily Closed

It's official. The Tavern location at Camp Creek Market place is temporarily closed; Tavern CEO encouraging patrons to visit Old National Location.

The popular , 3560 Camp Creek Pkwy., closed Aug. 8 and many patrons of the restaraunt and sports bar were shocked and upset.

To get a better understanding of the situation at the Tavern, I sought the owner of the Tavern.

After talking to Ronnie Cotton, CEO of the Tavern @ JR Crickets, and owner of a few others in the Atlanta area, he mentioned that the Camp Creek location is temporarily closed. Cotton declined to go into details, but was optimistic about it re-opening.

For all the patrons of his establishment and the readers of the Cascade Patch, he had this to say:

"We appreciate the communities support and hope the Camp Creek location will be opening back soon," Cotton said. "Until then, please visit the Old National Location at 5040 Old National Highway in College Park as well as the soon to be open Tara Blvd location at 6608 Tara Blvd in Jonesboro. Where you will get the same great food, entertainment and experience."

Many coming to their own conclusions of why the popular "more than chicken wings" establishment closed it's doors and when it will reopen.

Frequent patrons said they enjoyed the Camp Creek location because it attracted a more adult crowd than nearby locations.

Others said they were surprised by the closing because the Camp Creek Tavern was safe and popular and always had a crowd.
