Professor Rowland Abiodun, the Johnson C. Newton Professor of Art, the History of Art, and Black Studies at Amherst College, will visit Spelman College, Thursday, Oct 2, at 4 p.m. to discuss his new book, β€œYoruba Art and Language: Seeking the African in African Art.” In his latest book, Abiodun, a highly esteemed professor and expert on African art and Yoruba culture, makes plain the connection between the art and language of the Yoruba people. Hosted by the Art and Art History Department, this event will take place in the Cosby Academic Auditorium located at 350 Spelman Lane SW, Atlanta, GA 30314 (GPS Address: 440 Westview Drive, S.W.
